With 8 models to choose from, the GMI Shipsurveyor complies with international marine regulations for Confined Space Monitoring, Inerting, Pre-entry Testing, Tank Cleaning and many other marine applications in vessels such as LNG / LPG Tankers, Oil Tankers, Fruit Carriers and Refrigerated Cargoes.
As a minimum, the instrument provides measurement of Lower Explosive Level (LEL) and Volume flammable gas for Shipping Industry surveying and leak detection. With ATEX and MED approval, the Shipsurveyor is the complete shipping solution.
The basic instrument can measure 0-100% LEL and 0-100% VOL GAS. The LEL range indicates the explosivity of the flammable gas in the sample. This is displayed as a percentage of the lower explosive limit (LEL) of the gas. Other models can measure the following gas types: Oxygen (O2), Hydrogen Sulphide (H2S), Carbon Dioxide (CO2) and Carbon Monoxide (CO).
Up to 5 gases can be simultaneously measured and displayed. The hydrocarbon range, which utilises the latest infrared technology, can be calibrated with Butane, Propane or Methane, depending on application*.
