The Martindale HPAT600 is an easy to use battery powered, hand held PAT tester that is ideal for testing all types of portable appliances. The tester is supplied with rechargeable batteries for low running costs and a mains and in-car charger for convenience. Whilst recharging, the HPAT can still be operated from the mains supply ensuring maximum productivity at all times.

The HPAT600 can be operated in either of two test modes. In the Manual test mode, aimed at the newcomer to PAT testing, a connection diagram for the selected test type is shown on the display. Each step of a test type requires confirmation by a press of the OK button. In the Auto test mode, for the experienced operator, the HPAT600 will automatically run through a selected test type without any further user interaction unless a failure is encountered.

A null function is incorporated in the HPAT600 to compensate for the test probe lead resistance when used for Class I earth continuity measurements. This allows for alternative test probes to be used if desired.

The HPAT600 stores test data for up to 200 appliances which can be easily reviewed on the instrument if you need to check a result on site. It also has a simulated load test to check the load and ensure that the appliance is switched on with a good fuse.

The HPAT600 will perform the following test types:
